After breakfast, we enjoy a guided tour of Innsbruck, the Tyrolean capital set beneath the Nordkette range. Wander historic streets and admire Imperial landmarks that showcase the city's rich heritage and the lively Old Town, including the famous 15th-century Golden Roof, created as a royal viewing gallery for Emperor Maximilian I. After lunch, we continue to Swarovski Crystal World, where contemporary art and shimmering installations dazzle.

Day 4

Today's excursion takes us to Kufstein, set at the foot of the majestic Kaiser Mountains on the Tyrol-Bavarian border. Often known as the 'Pearl of the Tyrol', the town is crowned by its 13th-century fortress, which we reach by lift and offering wonderful views over the valley below. After time to explore, we continue to Achensee, a sparkling jewel in the heart of the Rofan Alps. Tyrol's largest lake is often called the 'Fjord of the Alps', with emerald-green waters reflecting the surrounding peaks. We round off the afternoon with a scenic boat trip across the lake, accompanied by coffee and traditional strudel. Later this evening, why not join us for an optional Tyrolean evening of traditional music and dance?

Day 5

We begin with a cable car ride for panoramic views across the surrounding alpine landscape - an uplifting way to experience the fresh mountain air and dramatic Tyrolean scenery from a new perspective. Later, we visit Stams Abbey, one of Austria's most important Cistercian monasteries. Explore the beautiful abbey church, abbey gardens and the museum with your audio guide admiring its murals, Baroque altar and breathtaking gold-leaf.
